Preparing Your Pool Table for a Long Distance Move

May 16, 2015

Disassembling your pool table is important any time it is moved. When it is moving locally, the pieces are loaded carefully into a vehicle and transported to the next location to be assembled, usually on the same day. When moving long distances, there is an additional step involved in the process. Crating the slate is crucial to protecting the play and value of your pool table. The stone is heavy and hard, but if left unprotected can crack (or worse) during the moving process. Disassemble and crating ensure that your table will arrive at its final destination safely and ready to be reassembled with ease.

There is an additional fee to have your slates crated, but it is worth protecting your investment. Your slate is the most important part of your table. Without it, you don’t have much of a game.
