Classic Pool Table on Hardwood Floors

Jul 28, 2014

Homeowners in Laguna Niguel, California found the perfect spot for their San Carlos pool table. They decided to place it right on top of their hardwood floors with no rug underneath. It looks fantastic, as there is about a shade difference between the floor and table stain. Just enough contrast for either to get lost.

We are often asked if putting a pool table directly on hardwoods is safe, or if there needs to be a rug underneath. When we are placing a table on hardwoods or tile, we use custom-made shims under each leg to protect your floor.

If you do wish to place your billiard table on a rug, whether it be wall-to-wall carpeting or an area rug, that is also safe. We can level on nearly any surface.

Whatever your flooring choice, the most important thing to remember is to have it completed before your pool table is delivered. Moving a piece of furniture that weighs 800+ pounds, is not only inconvenient but can cause costly damage if done improperly.

We can explain the installation process in detail during your visit to our Orange County billiard showroom.
