DK vs. Cheap Import Pool Tables

Our Pool Table Brands

The pool table brands we have chosen to represent may not be the biggest names in the billiard industry, but they also don’t spend millions of dollars on advertising their brand name. We strongly feel this directly affects the price of more “well known” pool table brands. We have carefully chosen the brands we represent for their outstanding quality, aesthetics and value to make your gameroom the best it can possibly be. From our slate pool tables to our billiard supplies and gameroom furniture, we take pride in the products we offer.

Our Import pool tables by the C.L. Bailey Co. and Fischer are all assembled right here in our Orange County, CA shop. We use state of the art tools, clamps, precision levels and all steel brackets and fasteners so that your Import pool table will look and play just like our Behemoth Competitor’s pool table. And, we do it for a fraction of their price!

If buying an American made pool table is important to you, then we are very proud to introduce the Connelly Billiards pool table collection, which is manufactured completely in the U.S.A. Connelly Billiards

Each Connelly billiard table is built to exacting standards that combine creativity, superior materials, state-of-the-art technology and old-world craftsmanship. We’re proud to only produce tables that meet or exceed Billiard Congress of America (BCA) specifications. Mindful of our environment, no endangered or rain forest woods are used in the construction of Connelly pool tables.

Connelly tables are offered in six different sizes (from 6 to 10 foot) and in several different feature levels, from entry level to professional. Connelly certified slate from the World’s finest quarries is used on our tables. Manufactured to our custom specifications, each set is diamond-honed and perfectly matched to provide a consistently level playing surface. Naturally, all slate is permanently framed in accordance with BCA specifications.

Connelly Billiards offers more than 30 meticulously crafted models. Pool tables are available in many American hardwoods, offering customers more versatility than other billiard table manufacturers. The standard Connelly woods, oak and maple are all chosen for their durability, strength and beauty. Connelly also offers species to accent any game room motif, including southwestern designs in mesquite, rustic models in distressed knotty pine, and classic styles in cherry and walnut. And if your tastes lend themselves to some other American hardwood just ask. A selection of rail sight materials including real mother of pearl, brass and abalone are accurately inlaid for consistent play. You can choose from a selection of hand-crafted pocket styles to complement your table selection. The result is a pool table that is uniquely personal and will provide generations of playing pleasure.

C.L. Bailey, Winslow Gameroom and The Level Best

Charles Bailey started his own pool table manufacturing company, Play Master, in 1973. Play Master then acquired Renaissance, a high-end custom pool table manufacturer, and the company became known as Play Master-Renaissance.

His son Chuck, who grew up working in the factory, joined the company full time after graduating from college in 1988.

“Play Master was one of the largest domestic pool table manufacturers in 1993, when AMF Bowling approached us about buying the company. I took them up on their offer, and decided to give retirement a try. Retirement was tough. I was used to working long hours, and suddenly I had all of this free time on my hands.” – Charles Bailey

By 1998, both father and son realized they missed owning their own pool table manufacturing company, and founded The C.L. Bailey Co. They purchased an 80,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Marionville, Missouri, and began manufacturing pool tables in late 1999.

“As a new company, we started out with a clean sheet of paper, and engineered our pool tables around the capabilities of the latest computerized woodworking technologies. This has enabled us to offer innovative features – like metal-to-metal construction and computer-milled, interlocking support beams – throughout our product line. Our pool tables are truly built to last for generations.”
– Chuck Bailey

In 2001, after experiencing great success in manufacturing pool tables, the Bailey’s convinced another father-son team to join them in starting an imported billiards products division. Jackson and Shine Lee were originally from Taiwan, and had a superb knowledge of the billiards industry in Asia. The new division, called The Level Best, quickly became one of the billiard industry’s fastest growing import distribution companies, due to the Lees’ ability to source quality billiard products out of Asia at competitive prices.

C.L. Bailey Co’s dedication to excellence was recognized in 2000 with the coveted Consumers Digest Best Buy Award.

All of our pool tables feature full 1″ thick slate, metal-to-metal construction, interlocking support beams, inlaid diamond-shaped rails sites, and a lifetime guarantee.

Integrate a steel Space-Frame to offer the strength and stability required to carry a top quality slate playing surface while keeping the sleek European look to a dining table is the challenge Aramith succeeded with its protected Fusion design. Aramith is the leader in professional billiard balls.

We have had our pool table moved four different times by David of DK Billiards. He has always done the work for me in a professional manner. I can tell that he cares about what he does. He is very cautious and skilled while he and his assistant maneuver around with 200 lb pool table slate in their hands. David was very meticulous when he leveled my pool table. He explained to me that the slightest amount of error will cause the pool balls to drift. I’m no pro when it comes to playing pool but I feel that if I want to play a “serious” game, my table will perform like a tournament pool table.

Today my wife and I visited DK Billiards in Orange County. We were looking for an inexpensive slate pool table for our two teenage kids. We ended up buying an 8′ Renegade. What we really liked about DK Billiards was that the owners of the company seemed to know the exact type of pool table we needed for our family. We never felt pressured to upgrade to a fancier pool table, oh and also I really liked the fact that the owner himself came to our home and installed the pool table. I liked dealing with this small “mom and pop” shop.

Our pool table looks awesome. I never knew there were so many felt colors to choose from. I never would have picked Mahogany if I hadn’t seen it in person. We’ve received so many compliments since we’ve changed from Green.

My wife made me put the pool table in the garage, but I still love it.

Wow! The Fusion Table is cooler than we ever imagined. The pockets are amazing. What an amazing design. We can’t wait to surprise our dinner guests.
