San Juan Capistrano Pool Table Rescue

Jul 10, 2012

Here’s an interesting pool table repair that we came across last week in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Our client was refinishing the cement floors in his man cave. The only problem was that the flooring contractors didn’t realize that moving this nine-foot World of Leisure pool table would be so difficult. So they rounded up as many hands as they could find and proceeded to manhandle this 1,100-pound tournament-size pool table. Unfortunately, someone lost their grip, and the next thing they heard was a crunch and a crack. Both end legs had broken loose from the cabinet, luckily no one was hurt. And, there was a three-ton floor jack readily available.

Enter the Pool Table Experts. We disassembled the distressed pool table and repaired the two broken legs as if nothing had ever happened. My client also decided it was time to refelt the 10-year-old nine-foot pool table, we recovered it with 21 oz. Brown billiard cloth. It’s not a good idea to move a whole pool table by sheer manpower. Save your friends from a hernia or from breaking a piece of slate or in this case two broken pool table legs.
